Phillips

A Workforce to be reckoned with.

Phillips Rebrand

In 2025, I joined Phillips as a design intern and quickly became part of a major company-wide rebrand. As one of two designers supporting the initiative, I helped translate the new visual identity into the everyday materials, experiences, and communications that represented the brand.

Over the following year and a half, I worked across a wide range of applications—from presentation decks and office signage to promotional print materials, social media, and branded merchandise. Each project presented a different challenge: how do you take the same visual language and make it feel intentional, consistent, and effective across completely different formats?

This body of work documents that process and the many ways I helped bring the new Phillips brand to life.

Print Materials

My Role

As one of two designers supporting the rebrand, I was responsible for taking the newly established visual identity and making it functional across Phillips’ day-to-day communications.

My role ranged from developing presentation and document systems to designing physical signage, promotional materials, social content, and branded merchandise. I worked closely with the Marketing & Communications team to respond to internal requests, maintain visual consistency, and adapt the brand across a wide variety of formats and audiences.

Because the rebrand touched nearly every part of the company's visual communication, much of my work involved solving the same core challenge in different ways: How can the Phillips brand feel consistent without becoming repetitive?

Building a Brand That Works

This project taught me that successful branding is about much more than creating a strong visual identity. A brand has to work in hundreds of different situations, for different people, on different materials, at different scales.

Working on the Phillips rebrand gave me experience designing within those real-world constraints—and, more importantly, taught me how to build consistency across an organization without losing the flexibility needed for everyday communication.

What started as an internship became an opportunity to contribute to a company-wide transformation and see firsthand how design can influence the way an organization presents itself, communicates, and is experienced.
